Pillowcase Program - Years 3 & 4
On Friday, 28th April, Year 3 and 4 participated in the Pillowcase Program conducted by Australian Red Cross. This is a disaster resilience education program which focuses on preparing and responding to an emergency. The students learned about the difference between needs and wants and what types of things we would take with us in case of an emergency evacuation. Our students also received a pillowcase to decorate and make their own which can be used to store items needed for an evacuation. Thank you to Jeremy and Julia from Australia Red Cross for their engaging presentation allowing for a rich learning experience.
