National Reconciliation Week
This week is National Reconciliation Week. National Reconciliation Week is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia. All students have also been learning about National Reconciliation Week in class. On Wednesday we were extremely lucky to have Uncle Hank visit our school again to work with our students in Year 6, Year 1, and Prep. He also worked with our First Nations Students to plant native plants in the raised garden beds in our Aboriginal Garden. Uncle Hank did our Acknowledgement of Country at the start of our assembly. We are very fortunate to have such a wonderful knowledge sharer come into our school and we know that the students learn so much from these experiences. Uncle Hank will be back later in the year during NAIDOC Week to work with the other classes.
