Welcome back to term 3!
We welcome back Ms Melenna Zeleznik in year two who is now well enough to return after an accident last term. Thank you to Ms Theresa Lockett, who whilst on her final practicum provided stability to the year 2 classroom by continuing with learning programs and ensuring a safe and supportive environment for the students. Theresa was supported by the Leadership Team during this time.
Sadly, Mr Jarrod Wilson our HPE teacher will not be returning to St Patrick’s. Jarrod was offered a full time HPE teaching role at Marist Regional College and will take up the position at the beginning of this term. While we are disappointed by the loss of Jarrod, this is an exciting opportunity for him and wish him the very best for the future. We are currently seeking a new HPE teacher who can fulfil the role.
School Leaders
Thank you to all students in year 6 who gave their speeches last term for positions of student leadership. We would like to congratulate our incoming leaders for terms 3 and 4 2024. I’m sure they will do an amazing job for the remainder of 2024.

What We Do In Our School
School Office Administrator, Tameka Harris plays a very important role in setting a welcoming and supportive culture within the school as the first point of contact. Tameka interacts with parents and families in a friendly, warm and welcoming manner with the front of office administration processes. Tameka also takes care of WHS processes within the school, maintaining safety for all students and staff.
Our teachers create an environment where all children feel safe, and enable a positive learning environment. They engage in ongoing professional learning, are organised in their planning and classroom management. They assess and provide feedback and report on student learning, as well as develop and write Learning Plans for students with special needs.
Our teachers actively engage with parents and families about their child’s learning. They utilise communication methods such as diaries and Seesaw to communicate student progress and celebrate successes. They create an atmosphere in which parents feel comfortable to approach them on matters relating to their child.
Our teachers play an important role in our school community with positive modelling for our students. They guide our students in their learning to grow academically and nurture them to grow in their personal lives.
I’d like to thank our teachers for their ongoing commitment to St Patrick’s Catholic School.
Have a great week
