A number of students who travel by bus each morning are arriving at the bus stop and going across to the Top Shop on Gilbert Street. As a matter of safety, it is expected that students walking, riding, or traveling by bus to school, come straight to school from home. We can not guarantee their safety if students are going elsewhere before coming to school. Some students in older grades are walking to Latrobe High School at end of the school day and catching the bus home from there. We also have students who attend sports training after school and walk from school to their training. If you permit your child to leave St Patrick’s and walk to a training session in Latrobe or to Latrobe High to catch the bus, please inform our office.
A final reminder that the P&F Pie Drive orders close today, Thursday 29th. Deliveries will be on Thursday 5th September. All Pie orders are to be placed through the Qkr! app.
Congratulations to the following students who have received Student of the Week.

The Devonport Playhouse is a great space to visit on the weekdays that your local Launch into Learning (or Little Treasures/Inquiring Minds/Little Sprouts/Jiloa Juniors/Little Learners/Bright Horizons/Little Joeys) session isn’t happening. We are now open from 9:15am – 12pm Monday to Thursday mornings. Follow us on Facebook to find out more.
Research shows that the first five years of a child’s life are critical for their development. The experiences they have can shape who they become as an adult. We realise the importance of these years and ensure that our SETUP sessions are full of play-based activities that allow children to investigate and learn in their own way.
Lots of time spent playing, talking, listening and interacting with you helps your child learn the skills they need for life. These skills include communicating, thinking, solving problems, moving and being with other people and children. That’s why our SETUP sessions allow children time for provocative play and exploring both on their own and with other children. We do offer arts and crafts, storytime, interactive games and activities as well as outside play.
Our sessions run every Friday from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m during school terms. Please bring a piece of fruit, a hat and drink bottle. Tea and coffee is provided for parents/carers. We hope to see you there!
