As a matter of safety for our students, the gate near years 5 & 6 will be locked from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and then locked again at 3:05 p.m. for Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) children. This also allows staff from OSHC to comply with the regulations of the Education and Care Unit.

For the safety of our prep students, we kindly ask parents to avoid waiting inside the Prep gated area. This gate must remain closed during school hours to ensure a secure environment and to allow staff to supervise children if needed.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support in keeping our school a safe space for everyone.

Thank you to our Term 1 and 2 School Leaders for their dedication and service throughout the first half of 2025.

I would also like to take this opportunity to congratulate our newly appointed School Captains, House Captains and SRC for Terms 3 and 4. We were proud to see so many of our Year 6 students deliver thoughtful and inspiring speeches to their peers and staff during the selection process.

This year, as part of our camp fundraising, we will be having a Pasta Day to support our Year 6 Camp! Orders close Tuesday 12th - order via Qkr! 

Every week with her crew, Mrs Adams runs our breakfast club on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. The crew this term are students from year 5 Spencer, Alice, Phoebe, Blair, and Jaxon. 

I would like to thank our local IGA, particularly Sylvana and Maher, who support us with fruit and condiments. Without this support, Breakfast Club would run in a more limited capacity. Please support your local IGA Express  in Latrobe. Thank you to Claire Brooks, who also supports Breakfast Club with cereal. These donations are appreciated.

Due to wet weather on Saturday, 26th July, the games originally scheduled for that day will now be played on Saturday, 30th August. Please refer to the original 26th July roster for game times and ground allocations as well as canteen roster information. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the additional week, please contact DJSA directly. 

Please find attached information relating to the Devonport Basketball Spring primary school roster, which commences on Wednesday, 3^rd September for grades 1 and 2 and Friday, 5^th September for grades 3 – 6. 

Registrations are now open and close on Thursday 14^th August 2025 (NO LATE REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED).

Get Ready – Richardson Cup Registrations Are Now OPEN!

We’re thrilled to announce that registrations for the 2025 Richardson Cup are officially open! Whether your school has expressed interest or we've heard from enthusiastic parents/guardians wanting to register their child, we’re so grateful for your support in bringing this exciting event to life.

Kick-off is Wednesday, August 27 at Byard Park – and we can’t wait to see your school out on the field!

Each school team will need a coach or team caretaker – someone to guide the players and look after team jumpers during the 4-week program. If a team is made up of students from multiple schools and no one steps forward, we’ll make sure a coach/caretaker is provided.

What’s Provided?

• Umpires and game day coordinators (thanks to AFL Tas, NWFL, and local clubs!)
• All equipment – footballs, goal posts, and more
• Changeroom facilities for players
• A professionally run experience from start to finish!

Registration QR Code and a reminder of the competition rules. Registration is due by Wednesday, August

13 – this helps us create a fair and inclusive game-day roster.

Final rosters will be sent out to schools and parent/guardian contacts a week before the action begins.
